Writing Mona Ryder.
Writing Mona Ryder is a collection of critical essays that explore Ryder’s forty plus years of creative practice.
Known for her exploration of themes such as domesticity, social and political structures and memory, this unique project offers six different perspectives on Ryder’s multimedia practice. The female contemporary writers commissioned for the project are all of different ages, and at different stages in their own careers, and so are able to approach the artist’s work through a number of varied lenses. Writers include: Beth Jackson, Christine Morrow, Ann-Maree Reaney, Dr Victoria Garnons-Williams, Dr Frances Thomson and Victoria Boulter-Groening.
This project is funded by a Creative Sparks Grant. The Creative Sparks Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council to support local arts and culture in Brisbane.
